Myth (ideology) in adverts

Ideologies are created by decisions and choices that we make, media and advertisements, which sell products and reinforce ideologies. Adverts do anything they can to get you to buy what they are selling, and target your values and weaknesses.

This advertisement where they are selling Jose Cuervo tequila, they are saying that this drink will make you have a good time. There is a caption on the add that says “Pursue your daydreams” this automatically gets people to think that the bottle will give you amazing dreams. Neither of these things are fact but they are myths which help sell the product.
